Twelve Years in Business and New Services Here at Turner Events!

It is hard to believe it has been 12 years since I moved back to my hometown of Omaha, NE and started Turner Events and Marketing!  It has been an amazing journey of working with great organizations and making friends along the way.

Our Event Management Company Through the Years

Our first event was a Metropolitan Hospitality Association meeting for 30 attendees.

We’ve also produced the Tachikara event at the NCAA Volleyball Championships, conferences and conventions from women’s events to software as a service (SAAS) for more than 2,500 attendees, worked with the USA Swimming Foundation on the Olympic Swim Trials, as well as planned the first BaconFest for the Salvation Army.

We have produced events from our own backyard to Chicago, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Kansas City, and Colorado Springs.

Recent Certificates and Awards

 We’re proud to announce that Turner Events has won some recent awards and recognition’s.

  • Lisa earned her Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) designation this year. This certificate recognizes event professionals who have successfully demonstrated the knowledge, skills and ability essential to perform all components of a special event.
  • Lisa also earned her Hubspot Inbound Certification. The Inbound Certification helps marketing professionals stay on top of the latest trends in the inbound world. This, in turn, will help Lisa offer better digital events services and more strategic meeting planning.
  • Turner Events and Rebuilding Together Omaha won the 2017 Best Event Over 500 at the 2018 Big Event Awards and Celebration for the Rebuilding Together Omaha Property Brothers’ Luncheon.

Last but not least, we were part of the ICAN team that earned the 2015 Cvent Plannie Award.

Focusing on Professional Development

The Turner Events team has attended The Special Event Conference for the last 8 years, and Lisa had a chance to speak during a 2017 breakout session.  We have been featured as a trusted resource in the Omaha World-Herald, Midlands Business Journal and MetroMagazine.

Each member of our team has attended ICAN Defining Leadership, and Lisa participated in Junior League of Omaha, Leadership Series; Nebraska Chamber Leadership and ICAN Leadership Circles.   

Our Staff and Interns

 The Turner Events team is made up of progressive leaders with expertise in event ownership, logistics, and project management. We pride ourselves on successful execution, integrity, transparency and positive relationships. Our interns have worked hard with us and have gone on to great jobs in event and meeting management.

We have learned a lot in the last 12 years.
